DESCRIPTION:
This antique brass lectern is a beautiful and versatile piece from the early 20th century, that was traditionally used for holding a Missal (a liturgical book used in Roman Catholic Mass) and is crafted from brass, giving it a warm, elegant appearance.
Features perforated quatrefoils in each corner (resembling lobes or leaves) which are sometimes viewed as a symbol of the Four Gospels or the Cross of Jesus, adding religious significance to the piece.
In good condition, with age-related wear that adds to its character (please see images). While originally designed for religious use, it can be repurposed as a decorative and functional piece (e.g. as a unique cookbook stand in a kitchen) and used in various settings.
Note that the circular weighted support typically accompanying such lecterns is not available with this piece.
This antique lectern combines historical and religious significance with practical functionality, making it an intriguing addition to home decor or as a statement piece in any room.

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. We will a pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
